Harrington & Holt Ltd ("we", "us") is a private limited company registered in England & Wales, company number 14487723, with its registered office at 82a James Carter Road, Mildenhall, Suffolk, IP28 7DE. We are the data controller for personal data processed through this website and in the course of providing our accounting and bookkeeping services.

2. Personal data we collect
- Enquiry data — your name, email address, telephone number and any information you include when you contact us.
- Client data — if you engage us, information required to deliver accounting, bookkeeping, payroll and tax services, including financial records, payroll details and HMRC/Companies House identifiers.
- Identity verification data — documents and information we are required to collect under the UK Money Laundering Regulations before acting for a client.
- Technical data — this website itself does not use analytics or tracking; see our Cookie Policy.
3. How and why we use it
- To respond to enquiries and provide quotes (legitimate interests).
- To deliver services under our engagement letter (performance of a contract).
- To meet legal and regulatory obligations, including anti-money laundering checks, tax filings and record-keeping requirements (legal obligation).
- To maintain our own business records and defend legal claims (legitimate interests / legal obligation).
We do not sell personal data and we do not use it for automated decision-making or profiling.
4. Who we share it with
We share personal data only where necessary: with HMRC, Companies House and other authorities where required for filings or by law; with software providers used to deliver our services (such as accounting and payroll platforms); and with professional advisers or insurers where necessary. Any provider processing data on our behalf does so under contract.
5. How long we keep it
Client records are retained for a minimum of six years after the end of the engagement, in line with tax and anti-money laundering record-keeping requirements. Enquiry data from people who do not become clients is deleted within twelve months.
6. Your rights
Under UK GDPR you have the right to access your personal data, to have it corrected or erased, to restrict or object to processing, and to data portability. To exercise any of these rights, contact info@harringtonholt.co.uk. You also have the right to complain to the Information Commissioner's Office (ico.org.uk).
7. Security
We take appropriate technical and organisational measures to protect personal data, including access controls and encrypted storage where appropriate.
